Car thieves in Abbotsford were on top of the world, until their night took a swift turn.
The footage is from 2014, but the video was finally released this week by BaitCar.com to serve as a “reminder that Bait Cars are active and operational in communities and cities all across British Columbia.”
In the video, the three suspects are elated with their work as they drive away in the vehicle, with one women claiming “we look good in this one, baby!”
When these car thieves stole a Bait Car, their first thought was to hit the drive thru. Watch the @AbbyPoliceDept make swift work of this auto theft in a rather embarrassing location.

Stealing cars is hard work, however, and it apparently made them hungry, so they decide to go through the McDonald’s drive-thru.
They continue to marvel at their work and good fortune as they order three McDoubles, two Junior Chickens and a root beer, but they never get to enjoy that food.
Instead, the bait car shuts off and their jovial moods quickly turn into panic.
By the time the driver realizes that they’re in a bait car, police have the vehicle surrounded and demand the suspects put their hands up and exit the vehicle.
As the video ends, one of them says “I just want to call my dad,” but she may want to consider calling a lawyer instead.
