It was a do-or-die game for the Miami Heat on Friday as they were battling the Los Angeles Lakers in game five of the 2020 NBA Finals.
Coming into the game down 3-1, Jimmy Butler and Duncan Robinson led the Heat to an improbable 111-108 win over Lebron James, Anthony Davis and the rest of the Lakers.

In the first quarter, the two teams battled hard with the Heat being up 25-24 after one. James led all scorers with six points in the first 12 minutes.
After the Heat pulled up 11 points in the second, the Lakers came back to keep it within three points heading into the third. The score at half was 59 to 56 for Miami.
The Heat would gain three more points on LA before a rollercoaster of a fourth quarter. In the fourth, Jimmy Butler and Lebron James went head-to-head, scoring on consecutive trips with only five minutes left.
With the Lakers up one point and less than a minute to go, Jimmy Butler hit two free throws to put the Heat up for good. A missed Danny Green three-pointer allowed for Tyler Herro to close out the game and give Miami the 111-108 win.

James was the top scorer from the night, finishing with 40 points, 13 rebounds and seven assists. He was followed by Butler who poured in 35 points, 12 rebounds and 11 assists, as well as Davis who had 28 points, 12 rebounds and three assists.

Despite strong performances in games two and three, Kamloops' Kelly Olynyk didn't get a chance to play. Miami only played seven players through the entirety of the contest.
