Three people have died after a float plane crash in northern Quebec.
The Joint Rescue Coordination Centre Trenton said that a Hercules aircraft was dispatched on Friday evening Lac Boulene to respond to an emergency locator beacon.
A search and rescue team parachuted to the plane’s location and found four people. Three men were pronounced dead at the scene and one man was found alive.
The survivor was transported by Griffon helicopter to receive medical attention. He was later released and will meet with investigators.
Police said the victims were friends, and they were heading out for a fishing expedition in the area.

The Transportation Safety Board of Canada says it is aware of the incident, which is believed to have occurred around 4:30 p.m., and it is currently assessing the situation.
According to the JRCC, the Hercules crew was conducting a night search for a missing R44 helicopter on July 12.
Search teams have been looking for a Quebec business man and his son after they also failed to return this week from a fishing trip in northern Quebec.
