UPDATE: Okanagan man wanted on Canada-wide warrant by Prince George RCMP taken into custody

(UPDATE: Feb. 18 @ 5:00 p.m.) - A wanted Okanagan man who was serving parole in Prince George, BC, has been located and arrested in Alberta.

Tal Kalum LaRiviere was taken into custody by officials in Grand Prairie, Alta, shortly after the Prince George RCMP reached out for assistance from the public.

According to the RCMP, it only took a matter of hours until LaRiviere was located. They would like to thank the public for their assistance.

(Original Story: Feb. 18 @ 9:25 a.m.) - RCMP in Prince George are asking for the public’s help to locate Tal Kalum LaRiviere.

A Canada-wide arrest warrant was issued for the 31-year-old on Saturday, Feb. 2 when he missed curfew at his designated residence in Prince George.

The RCMP are now hoping the public can help them find the man who’s considered unlawfully at large.

LaRiviere is described as a 6’2”, 194 lbs Métis man with brown hair and brown eyes.

He has connections to Vernon, B.C. and Grimshaw, Alberta and may be travelling in either northern B.C. or northern Alberta.

He’s believed to be driving a blue 1994 GMC 1500 pickup truck with the B.C. licence plate MY9880.

If you spot LaRiviere or his vehicle, you’re asked to immediately contact the RCMP by calling 911, but do not approach him as he’s considered violent.
