FBI ups reward to $115K for any information on Austin package bombings

The Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) has upped the reward for information on recent package bombs that have terrorized the Austin area.

The reward has been bumped up to $115,000 and the increase comes after a fourth explosion sent two men to hospital on Sunday night.

Sunday’s blast was the fourth similar incident, all occurring in March, which has resulted in the death of two people and a number of injuries.

On Friday, March 2, 39-year-old Anthony Stephan House was killed when he handled a box left on his front porch in the early hours of the morning.

Ten days later, 17-year-old Draylen William Mason was killled, and his mother was critically injured, when they opened a package left on their front porch at a similar time.

Later that morning, a 75-year-old was critically injured when she opened a package left near her home as well.

The FBI says that more than 500 federal agents are investigating the string of bombings and more than 435 leads have come in so far.

However, the case is remains unsolved and authorities believe that the perpetrator may be trying to send a message.
