Health Canada has issued a warning about a children’s rain suit after it was found to pose a risk of strangling the wearer.
The drawstrings on the Wetskins Children’s Rainsuit can become caught on playground equipment and fences or potentially cause the child to be dragged by a car.
There have been about 7,000 of the items sold in Canada.
As of Aug. 15, there have been no reports of injuries.
But Health Canada is warning that the drawstrings should be removed from the rain suit immediately.
The suits – which were made in China – were on sale between 2014 and 2019.
