1. Rogers-Shaw merger deadline extended

The $26 billion merger has been extended until Feb. 17 as the two companies await approval from federal industry minister Francois-Philippe Champagne. The sale of Freedom mobile has sparked concerns and failed to convince Canada's antitrust tribunal the transfer would be bad for consumers.

2. Kansas City Chiefs and Philadelphia Eagles will face off in Super Bowl LVII

3. Australian mining company apologizes for losing radioactive capsule

Rio Tinto is apologizing for losing a pea-sized radioactive capsule that went missing earlier this month. The capsule, which contains Caesium-137, was lost along a 1,400 km route in Western Australia. Emergency services say it may have gone missing up to two weeks ago while being transported. It runs the risk of causing skin damage, burns and radiation sickness to anyone who may pick it up.

4. YouTube star funds cataract surgeries for 1,000 blind people

Mr. Beast made the announcement on Saturday and his video racked up 32 million views. The surgeries were provided to people who cannot afford the surgery with the first round being completed in Jacksonville, Florida.

5. Ukraine calls for more weapons amidst non-stop attacks from Russia

Ukrainian president Volodymyr Zelenskyy issued an urgent call on Sunday for more weapons. Zelenskyy said the eastern Donetsk region is under near constant attacks from Russian forces. He added that soldiers in the area needed more supplies and new weapons as Russia tries to exhaust their forces.
