The United Kingdom and the European Union have come to an agreement on a new Brexit deal. Jean-Claude Juncker, president of the Europen Commission, says the deal is a “fair and balanced agreement.” It will now need to be voted on by the UK parliament, which is expected to happen this weekend.

Today marks the two-year anniversary of the death of Gord Downie. The Tragically Hip frontman was one of the most universally beloved Canadians and was taken from us far too soon. Tributes, stories and more are pouring in today as fans all over the country remember his brilliance.

Columbus Blue Jackets forward Sonny Milano scored a marvelous goal on Wednesday night and it’s already being discussed as a potential goal of the year. Milano put the puck through a defender’s legs as he crossed the blue line before putting the puck between his own legs and firing it top corner past Ben Bishop. You have to see it to believe it.

Iowa police arrested Daniel Burleson after he was spotted with a drink in his hand and a fake ID. It wasn’t your standard fake ID, as the 20-year-old had the famous McLovin ID from Superbad in his wallet. The story went viral and Seth Rogen chimed in on Twitter, saying “my work here is done.”

The Edmonon-Strathcona riding is believed to be one of the few ridings where Alberta won’t vote Conservtive and Michael Kalmanovitch is trying to aid that effort along. The Green Party candidate ended his own campaign on Wednesday and has thrown his support behind NDP candidate Heather McPherson, hoping that his supporters will do the same.
