Five things you need to know
1. Astronomers discover massive structure bigger than one million billion Suns
One million billion Suns is a size that isn’t even really fathomable, but it’s being used to describe a new space discovery. A team of international astronomers in Chile discovered the largest structure ever found in the early universe. They’re calling the proto-supercluster Hyperion and it may contain thousands of galaxies or more.

2. MLB playoffs heating up with amazing plays and controversial calls
The Boston Red Sox and Los Angeles Dodgers are both one win away from the World Series after wins on Wednesday night. It comes thanks to some incredible plays from both teams and in Boston’s case, a call that went their way in game five. Up 2-0 early in the game, a Jose Altuve home run was called back because of fan interference. Although it looked like the right call, it’s been a controversial one and it likely cost the Houston Astros the game.

3. Rockstar Games co-founder gets backlash for long work weeks
There are long work weeks and then there are work weeks at Rockstar Games. The company’s co-founder, Dan Houser, is receiving backlash after admitting that the development team worked on Red Dead Redemption 2 for more than 100 hours a week numerous times. He clarified the statement, saying that it was only the senior writing team and no one was forced to work those hours.

4. Canada could see a financial high thanks to pot tourism
On Wednesday, Canada became the second country to legalize recreational cannabis. It’s being called a great opportunity for the country’s tourism sector to take advantage of something that 99% of the world’s other countries can’t. However, tourists are being warned that they need to be careful and realize what they can and can’t do.
Best place to smoke a joint?? In Ontario, British Columbia and Alberta, outside Calgary, people will be able to smoke weed where they can smoke cigarettes. 5. Sidney Crosby says Connor McDavid is the NHL’s best player
This may not be the biggest surprise, but it certainly feels like the passing of the torch. Sidney Crosby has said that Connor McDavid is now the NHL’s best player. Crosby was widely considered the league’s best player for some time, but it’d be hard to find someone that would argue with his latest takes considering all the hardware McDavid has won over the last three years.
