Adar Poonawalla, CEO of the world’s largest vaccine manufacturer, says that not enough COVID-19 vaccines will be available to inoculate the global population until at least the end of 2024. Poonawalla said that pharmaceutical companies are not increasing production capacity quickly enough to vaccinate everyone faster.

KPCC reporter Josie Huang was arrested in Lynwood in LA on Saturday night while covering the shooting of two police officers. Huang said she was "arrested and charged with obstructing a [police] officer after videotaping their interactions with protesters." She shared her account of what happened that night, with cell phone recordings to back it up. Although she can be heard identifying herself as a reporter for KPCC and screaming for help in the recordings, police said Huang “ignored repeated commands to stay back” and “did not identify herself as press.”

Authorities said the man was fired upon by officers on Sunday in Lancaster, Pennsylvania after he ran “towards the officer, brandishing a knife above his head, in clear view, in a threatening manner.” Police released bodycam footage of the shooting and the officer involved has been placed on leave.

A total of 17 MPs in India have tested positive for COVID-19 after compulsory tests were carried out before parliament reconvened.

Conor McGregor, an MMA fighter, has reportedly been arrested in Corsica for attempted sexual assault and exhibition. Reports say that he has been released without further prosecution, but the results of testing could change the situation.
