British Columbia is reporting 677 new cases of COVID-19 in the past 24 hours, this brings the active case count in the province to 6,165.
This is how new/active cases break down from each region:
Fraser Health: 237 new cases (1,948 active)
Interior Health: 153 new cases (1,583 active)
Vancouver Coastal Health: 102 new cases (1,030 active)
Northern Health: 99 new cases (964 active)
Island Health: 86 new cases (627 active)
No new cases of people who reside outside of Canada (13 active)
From the active cases there are currently 288 people in hospital with 140 of those individuals being in intensive care.
92% of those in ICU due to COVID-19 today in BC were not fully vaccinated.

There was one new death reported in Northern Health, which brings the provincial death toll to 1,866.
Another COVID-19 outbreak was discovered in Fraser Health at the Westminster House, while the outbreak at Brock Fahrni in Vancouver Coastal Health has been declared over.
This brings the provincial outbreak count to 24, which includes:
Interior Health: Village at Mill Creek – second floor, Cottonwoods Care Centre, Brookhaven Care Centre, Spring Valley Care Centre, Kamloops Seniors Village, Hillside Village, The Hamlets at Westsyde, Joseph Creek Care Village, Kootenay Boundary Regional Hospital, Nicola Meadows, David Lloyd Jones, Sun Pointe Village, Hardy View Lodge and Rose Woods Village
Fraser Health: Northcrest Care Centre, Menno Home, Westminster House and Chilliwack General Hospital
Vancouver Coastal Health:Arbutus Care Centre, Louis Brier Home and Hospital, Opal by Element
Northern Health: Jubilee Lodge and Fort St. John Hospital
Island Health: Sunset Lodge
Since December, the province has administered 7,630,846 doses of the COVID-19 vaccine.
From the eligible people 12 and older in BC, 86.0% (3,985,159) have received their first dose of the COVID-19 vaccine and 78.5% (3,638,404) have received their second dose.
Of the eligible adults in BC, (3,743,344) have received their first dose and 79.4% (3,433,492) have received their second dose.
