Comedic rapper Afroman is coming to British Columbia next month.
He’ll make four stops around the province, starting with two shows on Vancouver Island before coming to the mainland for shows in Kelowna and Prince George.
His Prince George show will be at Ignite Nightclub on Wedesday, April 19. The opening act will be rapper Robbie G.
You can secure your tickets through Eventbrite for $40, or splurge for the $80 VIP meet and greet option if you’d like a chance to meet the two rappers at the end of the night.
Afroman rose to fame around the turn of the millennium and released his best-known album, The Good Times, in 2001.
The RIAA certified it as a gold album in October 2001, two months after it was released.
It included the hit songs “Crazy Rap” and “Because I Got High,” which was nominated for a Grammy in 2002.
Those songs, along with other Afroman hits like “I Live in a Van” and “Palmdale,” are still played at parties all around the world in 2023.
