One of the biggest names in country music will be hitting the road for an extensive world tour this year.
The Australian musician had previously announced Australia and United States dates for the High and Alive World Tour, and now he’s revealed when he’ll be coming to Canada.
Urban will play a standalone show at Toronto’s Budweiser Stage in July, then another seven shows at arenas across Canada in September.
The September leg of the tour kicks off with a show in British Columbia, as he’ll hit the stage at Rogers Arena in Vancouver on Wednesday, Sept. 10.
“Playing live is what I live to do. Looking out from a stage and seeing people singing, forgetting about all the stress in their lives, cutting loose and feeling ALIVE - that’s what it’s about for me,” Urban explained.
“Lots of hits, new songs, things we won’t even think about until we’re onstage - and loads of guitar. We’re gonna make this tour the best night of your life!”
With 25 songs that have hit No. 1 in Canada, there will be plenty of hits for the four-time Grammy winner to choose from as he formulates a set list for his shows on this tour.
And it won’t just be him that fans get to enjoy, as he’ll be bringing along Chase Matthew, Alana Springsteen and Karley Scott Collins as opening acts for his Canadian dates.
Tickets for the High and Alive World Tour will go on sale at 10 am local time on Friday, Jan. 17.
