If you’re anything like us, we’re feeling the itch to get out and watch live theatre or attend a show. Good thing there are tons of events coming to Kelowna this month so you can get your fix!

Catch Masters of Illusion® at the Kelowna Community Theatre on Nov 9, 2021, at 8:00 PM. America’s largest touring magic show is back and better than ever! Experience an evening of large-scale illusions, sleight of hand comedy and more! Click here for tickets and more information.

If musical theatre is more your cup of tea, enjoy a live presentation of Sleeping Beauty presented by Theatre Kelowna Society. This is a beautifully unique take on a classic full of dancing animals and a live band! The show is running from November 17 to 25, 2021. Click here for more information.

On November 21, 2021, you can dance the night away with Bahamas’ Still Sad Tour at the Kelowna Community Theatre. With over 3.5 million listeners on Spotify, Bahamas is one you won’t want to miss! For more information and tickets, click here.

There are also lots of great live events taking place at the Creekside Theatre! From a magical evening with the renowned magician, Ryan Michael Magic to Fashion and Fire, an evening of fashion from local designers accompanied by fire dancing.

#2. Warm up at a brewery

We can’t think of a better way to warm up after a day of exploring Kelowna than with a delicious beer at a local brewery. The Central Okanagan is home to over 20 microbreweries and the number keeps on growing! Now, we even have a budding Brewery District in the North End!

Have you been to The Office yet? It’s a brand new brewery located on Clement Street. Their goal is to be your best meeting of the week! They have crafted a space in which the beer and the environment work together to help you unwind after a long day at the office.

Kettle River Brewing Co. is a Kelowna classic, just a stone's throw away from The Office. Self declared as Kelowna’s North-End beer pioneers, Kettle River Brewing Co. makes small batch craft beer right there in their brewhouse. They are known for their bold brews, inviting atmosphere and epic art.

Another local favourite is Barn Owl Brewing. Located in the Lower Mission, Barn Owl is passionate about crafting tasty beers and bringing people together. This brewery gets its name from the beautiful red heritage building that it occupies. Guests can enjoy a little piece of history as they sip on small-batch beers made right there on site.

If you’ve been to a brewery lately, you’re likely to have tried some fun fall-inspired seasonal brews! Perhaps consider Kelowna’s Ale Trail so you can try all these tasty seasonals.

#3. Enjoy a brag-worthy food experience

There’s no doubt that Kelowna is home to some amazing restaurants with menus that delight the palate and now some are getting creative with how they deliver these amazing eats! There are a few local spots that have taken unique dining experiences to a whole new level this season.

If you’re not quite ready to say goodbye to outdoor patio dining, you can enjoy Dining in the Domes at Frind Estate Winery or Luminessence at Oak + Cru Social Kitchen & Wine Bar. Both of these restaurants are offering unique dining inside heated dining domes for an absolutely unforgettable experience.

Take advantage of Tommy N’ Tannin Tuesdays at the Modest Butcher! Grab a friend or two and reserve a legendary 40oz Tomahawk steak with all the fixings. On Tuesday nights, the restaurant offers a special price on their Tomahawk steak and serves it with your choice of perfectly paired Mt Boucherie Estate Winery 2019 Reserve Merlot or 2019 Original Vines Cabernet Sauvignon. With limited spots available, we recommend reserving in advance.

Try QB Gelato’s Supper Club! Our friends at QB Gelato & Bakery have a secret, not only do they craft award-winning gelato, but they also craft amazing meals! Check out QB for a unique fine dining experience in which food is paired with savoury gelato and local wine. Spots are extremely limited as dinner is served at a communal table with only 8 seats. Reserve the whole table for a group experience or take a romantic date!

#4. Check out some art and music

The Kelowna Art Gallery is the perfect place to spend a brisk morning or rainy afternoon. With four gallery spaces, there is plenty of beautiful original artwork to see. From a stunning glass display called BRINK to a collection of Grizzly bear-inspired works in a variety of mediums, viewers are sure to leave inspired.

The Rotary Centre for the Arts has some fun events to check out this month too! Every Thursday, they host a jazz ham for musicians to gather to play music together. It's free to play and open to all levels! If you want to watch, you can do that too. Audience admission is by donation. Click here for more information.

To celebrate the re-opening of the arts, Ballet Kelowna presents Resurgence. Enjoy an evening of dance choreographed by emerging artists Kirsten Wicklund and Robert Stephen and Heather Dotto’s playful Petrushka. You can enjoy the show on Friday, November 5 and Saturday, 6, 2021. Click here for more information and tickets.

#5. Catch a Kelowna Rockets Game

After a very long few years playing in empty arenas, the Kelowna Rockets are officially back! Now is the best time to catch a game because spirits are high and the Rockets have a stacked team. Grab your pals and some tickets for a night full of fun!

The next home games are Wednesday, November 3, 2021, against Vancouver, Friday, November 5, 2021, against Portland and Saturday, November 6, 2021, against Prince George. All games start at 7:05 PM. Click here for tickets and more information.
