1 woman arrested after pulling knife, not paying for items in Sahali

Mounties in Kamloops arrested after receiving a report of an armed robbery in Sahali Tuesday night.

Officers responded to the 1200 block of Summit Drive just after 10 pm on July 5.

According to the report, the woman allegedly attempted to leave a store without paying for her items.

Kamloops RCMP say the woman reportedly pulled out a knife when an employee tried to stop her.

Officers did not specify if the employee sustained any injuries.

However, witnesses were able to provide a description of the suspect and officers located her hiding in a bush nearby.

After arresting the woman, police found that she was also wanted on an unendorsed warrant.

She was held in custody overnight and is scheduled to appear in court on Wednesday, July 6.

If anyone witnessed or has information related to this incident, contact the Kamloops RCMP Detachment at (250) 828-3000 and reference file 2022-22969.
