A rezoning application to expand a mobile home park on the North Shore has been sent to a public hearing.
The owner of Apple Valley Mobile Home Park Ltd., located at 1375 Ord Road, has entered into a sales agreement to purchase surplus land from CN Rail.
City staff explained that the subject property is 5.9 hectares and would allow for an expansion of the mobile home park.
The applicant said they would like to add six new mobile homes to the lot, which will require a future development permit.
A rezoning application to change the property from the FD – Future Development zone to the MHP – Manufactured Home Park zone was given first and second reading by council on Tuesday, Nov. 15.
Council also agreed to send this matter to a public hearing. A date for the public hearing is expected to be announced in the coming days.
