Drivers in Kamloops have been warned to use caution after snowfall this morning caused several accidents across the city.
Sgt. Darren Michels from the Kamloops RCMP said those who can delay their travels should consider doing so until snow trucks clear the roads.
“We are requesting that drivers please use caution, slow down, and give yourself extra time to arrive at your destination,” he explained.
Snowfall Warnings and Special Weather Statements are in effect for most of southern B.C. Mountain passes will get the heaviest snow with 10-20 cm possible before tapering this evening.

“In particular, intersections appear to have become slick with ice where people are attempting to slow down and stop.”
“Give yourself plenty of stopping distance.”
Kamloops, like much of the Interior, is under a snowfall warning issued by Environment Canada.
Snow is expected to lie “all day,” with accumulations reaching up to 15 centimetres, the agency said.
