Kelowna schools are not out of the woods yet in regards to COVID-19.
According to Central Okanagan Schools, another two institutions had exposures in the last 24 hours. This included George Elliot Secondary and the Richter site of Central Programs and Services.
Interior Health did not mention when the exposures took place. They also failed to say if the affected individuals were staff members or students.
Those who are at risk of infection have already been contacted. They are also working with local public health teams.
"The safety and well-being of students, families, and staff remains our highest priority. Central Okanagan Public Schools will continue to implement the strict health and safety protocols and procedures that are in place so students and staff can continue to attend school as safely as possible."
"Central Okanagan Public Schools will continue to work closely with Interior Health to determine if any additional actions are required, and to support ongoing communication to each affected school community. As always, we remind people to stay home from school if they show any symptoms. "
