If you weren’t able to get tickets to tomorrow night’s show for QUSIC at Friends of Dorothy’s, you have a chance to listen to some local tunes tonight.
QUSIC, put on by Rebellious Unicorns, is an online music series that focuses on showcasing the talents of emerging LGBT2Q+ artists.
A small audience can attend, while adhering to guidelines in BC’s Restart Plan. Tickets are available in advance for live performances.
There are two episodes slated for production this month, featuring rock/pop pianist/singer/songwriter Matthew Presidente (he/him) on Wednesday and singer/songwriter, multi-instrumentalist, and producer Biawanna (she/they/them) on Wednesday, July 22.
The show format includes an interview portion during which the audience will get to know more about the artist before two live 30-45 min performances.
While tomorrow night’s performance is sold out, a second performance by Matthew Presidente has been added tonight at 9 pm.
Tickets are $15 at the door and are available on a first-come, first-served basis.
“We are thrilled with the reaction to QUSIC,” says Dustyn Baulkham, Executive Producer at Rebellious Unicorns. “
"The launch featured some fantastic talent and we look forward to building momentum for the series and showcasing more LGBT2Q+ artists as we progress.”
The performance will be held at Friends of Dorothy Lounge, located at 315 Lawrence Ave in Downtown Kelowna.
