Get ready foodies! The dates for Kelowna’s third edition of the Okanagan Eats Food Show have been announced.
Set to return to the Kelowna Curling Club on April 26 and 27, the annual event brings together like-minded people of all ages who have a fixation for food.
From samples of tasty wines, brews, spirits and appies to a full-on restaurant tasting section and retail market boasting local farmers and culinary artists — the event is known as a hub for all things Okanagan in food and beverages.
In addition to the market, restaurant and tasting sections, the event will also house a live stage for various cooking demos, friendly competitions as well as a celebrity guest chef, Trevor Bird from Vancouver.
“Okanagan Eats allows people to casually stroll, shop, taste and learn from some of the area’s best curators, chefs and foodpreneurs,” said Rhonda Tannahill, producer of the event.
The affordable event is a great place to spend an evening with the family exploring the flavours of the Okanagan or a fun atmosphere to mingle with other Kelownians in the beer garden while tasting your way through the valley.
“As we like to say, you don’t have to be a ‘foodie’ to enjoy the show, but we might just turn you into one,” added Tannahill.
The show will run from 2 p.m. until 10 p.m. on Friday, April 26 and from noon to 9 p.m on April 27.
Admission is $20 at the gate for adults but you can enjoy the pre-sale price of $15 until April 20th if your purchase through the Okanagan Eats website.
