Now celebrating its 102nd year, the annual Salvation Army Christmas Kettle Campaign raises funds to assist struggling residents.
The foundation relies on this fundraiser to feed, clothe and provide toys for families in the community.
“There’s been tragedy after tragedy and people just continue to step up. Even the neighbourhood we moved into, we just met the most beautiful people,” said Mark Wagner, the new community church pastor.
They are currently accepting volunteers for kettle greeters, and online donations can be made here.
