Okanagan athlete wins 2nd gold medal of Canada Winter Games

Brayden Kuroda is off to a hot start at the Canada Winter Games.

The Penticton native picked up his second gold medal of the competition today, topping the podium in the men’s mogul finals.

After earning the best score in the qualification round, Kuroda skied to victory in the finals by posting a score of 86.81.

He was more than three points better than silver medallist Olivier Lessard of Quebec.

On Sunday, Kuroda earned himself a gold medal in the men’s aerials competition after earning a score of 121.65 in the finals.

His two gold medals make up half of Team BC’s current medal total, as the country’s western-most province is currently in a tie for third place with Ontario.

British Columbia’s other two medals to this point are both bronze medals.
