Nanaimo man takes blender from Superstore, threatens employee when confronted

The Nanaimo RCMP is asking for the public's assistance in identifying a man who allegedly stole from a store and threatened staff when confronted.

The incident occurred at about 2:50 pm on Saturday at the Real Canadian Superstore.

Police said the suspect stole a blender valued at $150.

When confronted by an employee the suspect threatened them and then left the store with the item.

Video surveillance shows the man walking out with the blender tucked under his arm, with the employee following from a distance.

The suspect was observed driving away in a burgundy-coloured Nissan Frontier pickup.

The suspect is white, about 6 feet tall and 190 lbs. He was wearing a grey jacket with a black hoodie underneath, black baseball cap, jeans and a blue medical face mask.
