Vaccine clinics at South Okanagan farmers markets will run weekly into September

South Okanagan residents still looking to get their first or second doses of a COVID-19 vaccine will have an opportunity to do so every weekend for the next month.

You’ll even be able to browse for local produce and other products after because the vaccine clinics will be located at a pair of local farmers markets.

One will be at the Penticton Farmers’ Market on Saturdays and the other will be at the Summerland Farmers’ Market on Sundays, both from 9 am until 1 pm.

“No advance appointments are necessary for these clinics,” explained an Interior Health release. “People will be able to walk-up, register and receive a COVID-19 vaccine.”

It will be open for anyone born in 2009 or earlier who has not received their first dose of a COVID-19 vaccine.

You can also get your second dose at these clinics if it’s been 49 or more days since your first shot.
