Targeted enforcement leads to 3 more drug-related arrests in Prince George

Arrests continue to me made in relation to the drug trade and gang violence in Prince George.

On Thursday night, RCMP officers arrested a pair of suspects believed to be trafficking controlled substances.

The first suspect, a 30-year-old Prince George man, was found in possession of fentanyl and cash.

The other suspect, a 28-year-old Prince George man, was in possession of what was believed to be a pistol, but turned out to be a BB gun.

Upon further investigation, officers were led to a residence in the 3000 block of 3rd Avenue.

After obtaining a search warrant, they seized a rifle and various types of ammunition, along with drug trafficking paraphernalia, from the home.

“Both suspects were later released pending further investigation and charge assessment from the Federal Prosecution Service of Canada,” said a PG RCMP release.

Later on, police found a 34-year-old Prince George man at a local hotel who was found to be breaching the conditions of his probation.

He’s been held in custody overnight and will appear in court today.
