VIDEO: Parts of PG experienced flash floods due to severe thunderstorm

Environment Canada really wasn’t kidding around when they said we were under a severe thunderstorm watch!

Last night, we were treated to a sky full of lightning and heavy rain.

But with all the heavy rain came flash flooding.

At around 9:30 p.m. parts of Foothills experienced such high flash floods that the tops of car tires were covered!

Ada Gonzales, a local PG resident, was at 5th and Tabor at the time of the flooding. She made sure to take video and photo evidence of what was going on around her!

Gonzales' kids even jumped in the water to help others push their cars out!

Cops arrived shortly after the flooding started to block off the area. While no one was hurt, there were a lot of us soaking wet!

If you missed the flood, consider yourself lucky!

Stay safe out there, PG!
