15 flights through the province added to the COVID-19 exposure list

The BC Centre for Disease Control has added the latest batch of flights to the COVID-19 exposure list.

According to the BCCDC, 15 flights between April 2 and 13 had confirmed cases of the virus. Of the 15 trips, four were international while 11 were domestic.

April 2 had just a single exposure on an Air Canada trip. Flight 127 from Toronto to Vancouver saw the case between rows 25 and 30.

Two days later, Air Canada flight 45 from Dehli to Vancouver had an affected person in rows 26 to 30.

On April 7, five different exposures were reported on Air Canada flights. Flight 225 from Calgary to Vancouver, flight 302 from Vancouver to Montreal, flight 8302 from Victoria to Vancouver, flight 8242 from Vancouver to Terrace and flight 8622 from Vancouver to Winnipeg had positive tests across various rows.

April 9 had just a single case on Air India flight 185 from Delhi to Vancouver in an unreported row. The next day, American Airlines flight 2263 from Dallas to Vancouver had infected people in rows one, two and nine.

On April 11, another two exposures took place. Air Canada flight 8239 from Terrace to Vancouver had a carrier between rows six and 11 while Air India flight 185 from Delhi to Vancouver had a case in an unreported row.

The next day, Air Canada had two more positive tests. Those were on flight 202 from Vancouver to Calgary in rows 25 to 31 and flight 2264 from Fort St John to Nanaimo between rows four and 10.

April 13 had the final exposure on Swoop flight 183 from Edmonton to Abbotsford. The confirmed case was in an unreported row.

Those on these flights are urged to self-isolate and monitor for COVID-19 symptoms. For the full list of flights affected by the virus, click here.
