BC SPCA is offering half-price adoption fees in an effort to free up space across the province for incoming animals.
The promotion begins Monday, Sept. 27 and runs until Wednesday, Oct. 6.
The organization explains that many shelters are very full with animals who were seized or surrendered in large-scale investigations.
Many pets have become ready for adoption and the organization is working to find the right homes for many future pets.
“We encourage anyone who has been thinking about adopting a pet to take advantage of this promotion,” says Lorie Chortyk, manager of communications for the BC SPCA.
“You will not only be providing a loving home for a deserving animal, but it will also allow us to create capacity for abused and neglected animals who urgently need our help.”
The half-priced adoption fees apply to dogs, cats, puppies, kittens, rabbits and small animals – even farm animals, excluding horses.
