It’s no surprise, but mail-in ballots are going to be a major part of British Columbia’s 2020 election.
Anyone who doesn’t feel comfortable voting in person due to the COVID-19 pandemic is welcome to request a vote-by-mail package from Elections BC.
So far, 160,000 British Columbians have done so.
So far we've received about 160,000 requests for vote-by-mail packages in the 2020 Provincial Election. We'll be updating this number daily on our website here: https://t.co/0ihiPxkbi8 pic.twitter.com/UqUBiGYlYa

Elections BC expects around 800,000 people to vote by mail in the 2020 election, a staggering increase over the 6,500 or so BC residents that did so in 2017.
If you want to be one of those people, you simply need to request a vote-by-mail package online or by calling Elections BC at 1-800-661-8683.
You have a little time to do so, but don’t wait too long because mail-in ballots need to be received by Elections BC before 8 pm on Saturday, Oct. 24.
Each vote-by-mail package comes with a postage-paid return envelope for those who want to mail them back in, but you can also return these ballots in person.
You can do that at either a district electoral office, voting place or participating Service BC location.
