Missing BC woman may have been hitchhiking to Saskatoon or Vancouver

Police are looking for a woman who was reported missing by her family after not hearing from her for days.

The Mackenzie RCMP are requesting the public’s help in locating Alice Maureen Chingee, age 62, who has not been heard from since July 15, 2024.

On Thursday, July 18, 2024, family members contacted the RCMP to report her missing.

It is believed that Chingee may be hitchhiking to either Saskatoon or Vancouver.

She is described as:

• Indigenous female
• 62 years old
• 5’ 6 (168 cm)
• 150 lbs (68 kg)
• Black hair
• Brown eyes
• Last seen wearing a green t-shirt and grey pants
• Carrying a green suitcase

Police and family are concerned for her wellbeing.
