Modest ambitions for Fort Nelson man after winning $1M in Lotto Max draw

A Fort Nelson man is planning to celebrate winning $1 million in a modest fashion.

Kenneth Harbicht claimed the seven-figure sum after buying a winning ticket for the Lotto Max draw on June 22.

And though plenty of other people were excited for him, the lucky fellow isn’t letting the cash go to his head.

“I was right in the store, at the Husky Gas in Fort Nelson,” said Harbicht.

“Everyone was hooting and hollering. I just thought it said $1,000. I was so confused why everyone wanted to shake my hand!”

His priority now is to get himself a new pickup truck.

Other than that, he told the BCLC “he hasn’t even done any major celebrating since becoming a millionaire.”
