Areas of Witty’s Lagoon to undergo invasive species removal

The Capital Regional District (CRD) is advising the public of an invasive species management project that will close off parts of Witty’s Lagoon.

The invasive species Black Knapweed will be removed in specific, fenced off areas from Aug 15-19.

According to the CRD, the beach and trails will remain open during the project.

Treatment schedule is weather dependent.

People are asked to stay out of fenced off areas, and to keep pets away as well.
