Following in the footsteps of Bauer, CCM Hockey is donating 500,000 surgical masks to healthcare workers on the frontline of the COVID-19 pandemic.
The Montreal-based company is currently procuring the protective equipment from its established network of partners that typically collaborates on the production of CCM hockey gear.

Once the logistics are sorted out, CCM will arrange for transport and ensure the medical gear is distributed to healthcare workers across Canada as early as the final week of April.
“We focused on the best use of our network and our resources to have the quickest impact,” said Rick Blackshawk, CEO of CCM Hockey.
“Sourcing greatly needed equipment through our established supply chain partners in Asia is the most efficient way for us to support and keep our real heroes safe.”
Blackshaw said the donation is made possible thanks to the company’s ability to team up with its roster of CCM athletes.
That includes pro NHLers like Sidney Crosby, Connor McDavid, Alex Ovechkin, Nathan MacKinnon, Artemi Panarin and Brock Boeser, along with women pros like Dani Cameranesi and Kendall Coyne Schofield.
