The Toronto Blue Jays find themselves in unfamiliar territory tonight.
With a victory over the New York Yankees, the team can clinch its first playoff berth in four years.

Sure, it’s a shortened season with an expanded playoff format, which sees eight 16 teams make it instead of 10, but that certainly doesn’t matter to this young roster.
A win tonight isn’t the only way that Toronto can book themselves a spot in the post-season either, as Seattle Mariners and Los Angeles Angels losses would clinch them a spot as well.
They have to like their chances this evening too, as ace Hyun-jin Ryu takes the mound for the Jays in Buffalo.

The Korean left-handed pitcher is 4-2 this season with a 3.00 ERA.
New York will counter with Jordan Montgomery, who’s 2-2 with a 5.12 ERA so far this year.
First pitch is at 3:37 pm PT and, as always, the game will be called by Dan Shulman and Buck Martinez on Sportsnet.
