Day six of the 2020 Winter Olympics in Tokyo is in the books and Team Canada added one more medal to its count.
Once again, it came in the water, but it wasn’t in the pool this time.
It came in the open water, where Caileigh Filmer and Hillary Janssens rowed their way to a bronze medal in the women’s pair final.
It’s the 10th medal for Team Canada thus far and all of them have been won by women.

Canadians came close to another pair of medals on day six as well, earning a pair of hard-fought fourth-place finishes.
Summer McIntosh, Kayla Sanchez, Rebecca Smith and Penny Oleksiak swam admirably in the women’s 4x200-metre freestyle relay and even set a Canadian record with their time.
Unfortunately, the teams from China, the United States and Australia all swam to world record-breaking times in the race to claim the three spots on the podium.
Shady El Nahas came just short of being the first Canadian man to win a medal at these Olympics as well, falling just short in the bronze medal 100-kilogram judo match.
There were plenty of other notable Canadian performances on day six, including Penny Oleksiak reaching the 100-metre freestyle finals, which will take place at 7 pm PT today.
The golf event also got underway on Thursday in Japan, Wednesday night local time, and both Corey Conners and MacKenzie Hughes started the tournament with two-under-par 69s.
Canada also got victories in the women’s basketball and doubles volleyball events on day six, but fell short in men’s field hockey and women’s rugby sevens.
