Sarah Wark can now add BC women’s Champion to her list of accolades after leading her Abbotsford Curling Club to victory in the 2019 Scotties BC Women’s Curling Championship.
Wark was the only member of Team Wark to have not previously earned the title, as third Kriston Pilote, second Carley Sandwith, and lead Jen Rusnell (substituting for Michelle Dunn) have all held the trophy in the past.

“I am over the moon right now,” said Wark, who has won the BC Junior Women’s, Mixed and Mixed Doubles Championships in the past.
“This has been a dream of mine since I was a very little girl. To have it come true after all this hard work, I’m thrilled and we’re super excited for the next step.”
Team Wark has had a successful season on the sheet, also making a podium finish at the BC Women’s Curling Tour where they placed second.
The final matchup pitted Wark against Team Brown, who had proven difficult earlier in the competition after a tight win for Team Wark.
