Kids pyjamas, lounge pants recalled over burn risk

Health Canada has expanded a recall for Urban Kids children’s pyjamas and lounge pants because they do not meet flammability requirements.

The recall involves U Kids We Love Cozy two-piece pyjama sets and lounge pants sold at Urban Kids and Urban Planet.

Health Canada says the recalled products violate flammability requirements for children’s sleepwear, posing a risk of burn injuries to children.

Loose-fitting children’s sleepwear can more easily come into contact with ignition sources such as stove elements, candles and matches.

Once ignited, the sleepwear can burn rapidly, potentially causing severe burns to large areas of a child’s body.

The affected products include two-piece pyjama sets with short-sleeve tops and fluffy wide-leg lounge pants, as well as fluffy wide-leg lounge pants sold separately.

The affected style numbers are 3528-4828-2601, 3528-4828-2608, 3528-4828-2621 and 3528-4828-2603.

As of June 12, the company had received no reports of incidents or injuries in Canada.

Health Canada says 62,722 units of the affected products were sold in Canada from October 2025 to June.

Consumers are being told to immediately stop using the recalled products and return them to an Urban Kids or Urban Planet store for a refund.

For more information, consumers can contact YM Inc. at 1-866-717-7008 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. ET, Monday to Friday, or email [email protected].

Health Canada says recalled products cannot be redistributed, sold or given away in Canada.
